Genetic counselor

Duties and responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of genetic counselor are to work with different patients and sometimes families that have problems, disorders, and birth defects. They also work with people who are at risk of getting one of these problems. Genetic counselors often:

¨     Educate patients and families about their conditions and how they might be able to be helped by the counselors.
¨     They examine family history and determine what type of genetic problems they have.

¨     Conduct research about genetic disorders.

Education:

Students that are interested in becoming genetic counselors should take the most challenging high school curriculum that emphasizes science and mathematics and other classes. A master’s degree is required, and most graduate programs are required
I wouldn’t want to be one because it’s hard to work with other people.

Average salary:$25,000 - $55,000

CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!
