Student success statement

Regarding successful living:

“There is no giant step that does it. It’s a lot of little steps.” ANON

What this quote saying is that to reach a goal it does take three or four step but a lot of little tiny steps to reach that point of success. Also you can’t take a giant step because you might lose focus of what’s important so it’s best to take small steps to reach your goal.

For example if you lift weights and your max is 115 and you goal is to get at least 200+ then don’t take giant steps by going up 20 pounds each time. Take your time in reaching your goal and take little steps to reach you 200+ pounds goal. It’s better to take small steps because a big jump can have consequences.

Student success statement

“Right is right, even if everyone is against it; and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it.”

William Penn

What I think this quote means is that no matter what the cause of something is, it can either just be right or wrong. If you think something is truly the right thing to do but others say no it’s wrong then do you what you believe is right. But if something is wrong and others say its right then don’t get involved into something you think is wrong.

For example if you want to do a project that you think is best and you think it’s the right project to do but others tell you no its wrong don’t do it that way don’t listen because whatever you think is truly right and believe it’s right then do it.

                                        Student success statement

Cowardice asks the question “is it safe?”
Expediency asks the question “is it politic?”
Vanity asks the question “is it popular?”
But conscience asks the question “Is it right?” and there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe nor politic nor popular but one must take it because one’s conscience tells one that it is right.

Reflection: what this quote is trying to explain and show us is that asking yourself is it right is better and more responsible than asking yourself is it safe or is it politic or is it popular. Also when you’re in a certain position it’s better to ask yourself is It right because then you will truly understand what’s your position and you will trust yourself to do the right thing. Your conscience is another part of you that separates the right and the wrong and when you are in a wrong position it leads you to a better and more righter pathway.

For example if you know you are in a crowd of bad people who do wrong this your conscience is going to be the one to help you and guide you to a better place like with a more nicer crowd.

“Let us have faith that right makes right, and in that faith let us to the end dare to do our duty as we understand it.”

Reflection: what I think this quote means is that doing what we believe is right we’ll be right and to let us do the right until the end. Have faith in what you believe is right and it will bring you greatness and a bright future.
