Anonymous

Reflection: what I think this quote means is attitude changing any mood either your mood or someone else’s mood. The point is that attitude changes the way people act and the way others act by taking the first step to change your attitude.

Example: for example if you are really nice to someone and show friendly companionship then the other person will realize the way your acting and then they also will act friendly to you.

Student success statement
“He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.”
A proverb
Reflection: what I think this inspiring quote means is that if you have friends who are kind, trustworthy, honest, fair, and show respect them you will become from which you see so when you hang out with these people that choose the right you will be influenced to do the same and that is to choose the right. But when you hang out with people who cuss do things they are not supposed to do then they will influence you and you will be choosing the wrong and end up a bad person.

Example: for example if you have a friend who is a good person you will most likely be like that person and you will be a good person to. But if you have a friend that’s does bad things then you to will become a person who does wrong things that chooses the wrong.

Student success statement

“You can’t hire someone else to do your pushups for you”

Jim Rohn

Reflection: what I think this statement means is you can’t tell someone to do something for you and expect to be successful. What its saying is you have to be the one to do and take responsibility in what you have to do. Also that if you want to be good at something or be successful in something you have to be the one to make yourself better at it, not tell other people to do your work.

Example: an example of this statement is if you have an upcoming math test and they give you a practice sheet for homework put you tell your friend to do it then it’s not really going to help you. It’s going to help your friend because he’s doing it. So if you want to pass that test you, yourself have to do the practice sheet and study for that test to be good at it and pass it.

Abraham Lincoln shows integrity: video

What I saw and experience in this video was trust and loyalty to promise that Lincoln had made with his mother at the age of nine. The promise she made with him was to never use tobacco or drink any type of whisky. So the story goes as two men traveling together which were Abraham Lincoln and a military colonel. They rode together for miles and sometime between that travel the colonel ask him drink whisky with him but Abraham refused that offer as he promised his mother. After some time the colonel ask him to have a smoke with him. Then he said yes, but after he was going to smoke he told him the story of the promise he made with his mother that he will never smoke tobacco or drink whisky and until that day he didn't. So he ask the colonel that if he would want Abraham to break that promise. The colonel understood him and said that he wouldn't want to be that person to break the promise of a man and his mother.
