Duties and responsibilities

Pharmacist compound or prepare prescriptions written by physicians, dentist, and other practitioners. They review theses prescriptions to validate their accuracy and then prepare the medication. What this involves is the weighing, measuring, and mixing drugs. Once the compounds are ready and are done with the mixing they are then given to the customers and patients.

 Pharmacists mainly work in hospitals, clinics, health departments, and in grocery, drug and discount stores. Those who work in stores that have other health supplies must be aware of knowing the right places to look for certain supplies.

Average salary: $33,000 - $51,000

Educational requirements


Students should be taking the most challenging classes that are available in English, science, and math. All pharmacists must graduate from a college of pharmacy. It would normally take about 5 years to earn your pharmacy degree. if you stay for six years then you can earn a doctor for pharmacy degree.
