Pharmacy technician

Duties and responsibilities

Pharmacy technicians work in pharmacies under the direction of a pharmacist. What there main duty is, is to fill out prescriptions according to what the doctor orders for the patients.

Some other duties for pharmacist are to:

Ø  Check inventories and order supplies.
Ø  Receive and check in supplies.
Ø  Wait on customers.
Ø  They help fill out insurance for forms.

They mostly work in retail pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and sometimes in large industrial complexes.

Average salary: $15,000 - $25,000

Educational requirements:


Students should take math science and typing courses. For science they should especially take chemistry. A high school diploma is usually required to begin pharmacy technician training. Two years of training courses leads to certificates and are available at most community colleges. Six months programs are offered at privately operated schools. 



wouldn't want to be one because honestly they make a little bit of money.
