Duties and responsibilities
Radiation assists radiologist and onocologists in treating
patients that have diseases through and exposing area of the body. In addition to
helping with the treatments, technologists are responsible for maintaining the
therapy equipment. Radiation therapy is provided in hospitals, public health
clinics, and cancer treatment centers.
Average Salary: $22,000 - $36,000
Educational requirements:
To become one, students should be taking the most challenging
high school courses such as science, math, and English. Students can train to
become a radiation therapist in either one year or two year program. The program
that is one year training is offered in public hospitals. To join or be qualified
to join you must have graduated from a program in radiologic technology.
